iSQI and High5 at the SXSW

The South by Southwest (SXSW) is no longer only the conference where Twitter had its breakthrough. In fact, it is a Melting Point for big players of industry, young start-ups and politics. It is the worldwide biggest digital trade show that unites festivals, conferences and exhibitions. The SXSW exists since 1987 and takes place every year in March in Austin, Texas. In 2017, 7,857 participants from 47 countries visited the event.

The International Software Quality Institute (iSQI) and the daughter High5 GmbH attended the event as exhibitor at the SXSWedu, 6th – 9th March with focus on the trends and the future of further education, and at the “German Haus” partner stand at the SXSW Interactive, 10th – 13th March.

With regards to the participation at the SXSWedu, one has to admit that there is no conference in Germany that can show similar participant numbers and that can offer such an international audience with this high disposition to cooperate and interact. We have been able to interact with numerous stand visitors on the three trade show days.

The participants showed an above-average interest in the topic of "Quality Assurance through Continuing Education". The High5 team presented its new product portfolio that includes highly effective e-learning modules that accelerate competence development in order to support start-ups to evolve talent and release potential.

The hot topics and the innovations presented in the field of education do deliver impulses for the expansion of the own product portfolio and ideas for the company's own development.

iSQI and High5 were part of the German delegation which is one of the biggest delegations at the SXSW. The “German Haus” presents keynotes with speakers from industry, media and start-ups. The "German Haus" recorded between 2,000 and 3,000 visitors daily.

The High5 received high awareness associated with the start-ups they promoted. Particularly the start-up HOLOPLOT, which received the “SXSW Interactive Innovation Award”.
